Edwin Van Der Sar

Edwin van der Sar (born 29 October 1970) is form Netherlands, he’s a soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for English Premier League club Manchester United.
He is the Netherlands national team's most capped player of all-time and one of the few footballers to have won the Champions League with two different teams, having won it with Ajax in 1995 and Manchester United in 2008, the latter where he was named UEFA Man of the match.
Van der Sar moved to Manchester United on 10 June 2005 for a reported fee of £2 million, although the exact transfer fee was undisclosed. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson considered him the best goalkeeper to play for the club since Peter Schmeichel.
Van der Sar was included in the Netherlands's 1994 World Cup squad but did not play. He had to wait until 7 June 1995 for his international debut, against Belarus. He was in goal for three successive eliminations from major competitions by penalties: Euro 96, France 98 and Euro 2000. Following the Dutch team's failure to qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Van der Sar would have to wait four years for his next international tournament.

M.V.P?

Yesterday in the awards they gave to the students who play sports, well actually just the best players get the awards. I got the M.V.P of Harding Soccer team, for me its kind a personal achievement which makes me proud because I know I deserve it and I worked for it. After along time of working hard to get something here I finally get it, but also last year I got a M.V.P medal which I don’t thing it was as big as the award from yesterday.
The M.V.P besides making me happy and proud also gave me motivation to play better, yesterday I had one of the best games I have play, and the “best game” Mr. Tyson have ever see me play, that’s what he said.
We won 9 – 5 but besides it was indoor the goals they scored on me was a bunch of own goals and mistakes of my defense where I couldn’t do nothing to stop them, but when I could I did and I did it well and well done as my job requested me to do it.

Ecuador vs. Argentina

The Ecuadorian national team is playing against Argentina today at 5:00 pm,
Ecuador needs to win this game so they can achieve 20 points which would let the Ecuadorian team get in the fight for the ticket to Africa 2010.
Ecuador beat Peru last Sunday by 2 to 1, with these 3 points Ecuador got a new light of hope so they could get to the major tournament, but also if they want to be there they will have to beat Argentina today in Quito, but is not so easy, Ecuador has to wait for other results to come as Venezuela and Colombia to draw so that would give them more chances.
Ecuador is not going to use the same team they used against Peru, the team Ecuador used in the last game was just a “substitute” team because some of it’s players were suspended or injured so Sixto Vizuete had to find another team to play against Peru and that’s why he was trying a new defensive line against Honduras, but it didn’t go so well, Ecuador los 3 – 1 against the “catrachos”.

Quit soccer ?

Again as crazy as this sounds, I do quit soccer, I am not sure and as much as it hurts me to do this but I think is enough and I’m just going to stop it for a little bit because it really takes too much of my time and really is not a good idea to spend all my afternoons and Sunday family time out side playing soccer. But the main reason why I’m doing this is because people don’t appreciate my work! I literally won by my self last Sunday I was the one who was saving the horrible mistakes my defense made and the one who saved the day, but yeah I admit I made a little mistake in the last minutes of the game that’s why they scored on me, but besides I save their mistakes and did a great job they didn’t say even thanks and when I made that mistake they were killing me with their words I don’t think that’s fair.
Also in the other Ecuadorian team they have me as a sub, as a sub? Yes! I’m me, one of the best goalkeepers and they have me as a sub, I don’t like that and is not like I could go to practice and show them that I’m better than the other guy because I tried and it didn’t work so I better just leave them, also I have to go to Ecuador so is not use really to keep playing, I just will go to my aunt’s house to live for a week after school is over then travel to Ecuador, those are my plans.

Soccer gets you tired?

As you should know by now soccer gets you really tired and I think this is way to much for me… I can play soccer for hours and hours but not every day and until really late as I being doing this week, last Wednesday I played two games in the row the first one at 8 and the other one at 10, but it got me so tired that it was hard for me to keep playing.
At least I won the first game, and I didn’t suck but it was pretty bad, they scored about 5 goals on my, even know we scored 10 I’m not happy with what happened.
But the other game was just ridiculous, playing against the owner of “Corner Kick” is not fun man, it is but the dude knows the field so well that he scored on me from every position possible, he has a really awesome aim and skills which is just hard for me to stop.
This is not everything after that tiring night I had soccer practice next day and after practice another game, that’s just insane man I was so tired yesterday and I still am, even worst I have to come to school which really sucks because I didn’t have enough and I cant sleep in class because this #&^(%$ just keep talking $#*^ about me saying that I sleep in all my classes which gets me even madder that what I am.

My life !

A day in my life of Dan Vasquez is not as easiest as it seems, many people asks why is he always tired? Why is he always sleeping? The answer to this questions is in this little story, Dan starts every day at 5:00 am, cleans up his room then takes a shower and gets dress, after getting ready he makes himself breakfast , eats and then some more personal hygiene and leaves to school.Dan actually hates school because is boring and they don’t teach him nothing new that’s why he uses this time to relax and most of the time sleep. After a tired day at school, he gets home make himself something to eat, then gets on the computer for a little while and then works out a little until any of the many teams that needs him to play with them call him, then he leaves to play soccer, knowing he is a goalkeeper he works more than any other player on the field, he usually finish playing about at 11 or 12 pm, then take another shower and eats a little something before bed but he doesn’t sleep yet; he starts or either playing Xbox or watching TV and starts sleeping about at 2 or 3, depends the kind of day he had.

Crazy stuff !!!

Ok as you already know I like to write crazy things on my blog but this is probably the most ridiculous thing ever! Last Sunday that we went to play with the Ecuachamos team at New Heaven, guess what???
Yeah they picked another goalie over me which #&*ssed me off a lot and just the fact that I wasted two hours of my life made it even worst, I rather stay home or do anything else than seeing a looser steal my place, well it did matter a lot so I decided to quit the team.
I thought quitting the team could be the best idea because if I do that they are going to realize what they are missing and of course later they are going to want me back but I wasn’t going to play with them no more but today I changed my mind, instead of quitting the team I’m going to practice today and show them who the best goalkeeper is, also I know is me.
Also I had another great idea and I already talked to Mr. Tyson about it, the idea is that I might gather Warren Harding Soccer Team and take MY team to play against those Ecuachamos, it seems a good idea but lets see what happens later on.

Barcelona is going down!

The Ecuadorian team Barcelona s.c lost last Saturday against Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Portoviejo, the final score was 1 to 0 in the Reales Tamarindos Stadium.
Both teams got to this game with the same amount of points (20) which is the reason they both needed to win so they could go out of the last positions of the table.
In the first half it was a very even game, the game was going back and forth for the first 40 minutes with many actions in both goals but the goalkeeper Banguera of Barcelona was having a great game keeping all of the shots of Liga de Portoviejo, until in the minute 40 when the defender Jefferson Hurtado made a mistake which let Marquez take the ball and with a distracted defence got trough the right side on the field and shot across Banguera scoring the first and only goal in the game for Liga de Portoviejo.
In the second half it was just one team on the field which was Barcelona, attacking the whole second half as hardest as they could but it just didn't work out, Liga with a strong defence and lots of luck finish the game with a blank sheet. Barcelona lost and remains in the last positions in the table of the Ecuadorian soccer.

Soccer practice fun time

At practice in Bradley School yesterday we had our practice with the “Ecuachamos” Team which plays on Sundays at New Heaven. It was pretty fun and I was actually happy and ready to practice because last night I had a great game so I just wanted to keep keeping well so I was ready to show my 100 %.
It went pretty well for the first 40 minutes sort of, then after the second goal everything went down not really bad but they just scored 3 more, they were some pretty dumb goals but I also did many awesome saves yesterday which makes me feel a little better.
As I said in passed blogs rain is one of the worst enemies for the goalkeeper and even worst for a goalkeeper like me, I say this because I love to play with sweatpants and long sleeves so when they got wet it was really hard for me to move, but I still fought to try to have a great job showing them that I’m a lot better that a regular goalkeeper because I know I am.

Level Back

I'm so happy! Last night I had a great game, suddenly I realized that I’m getting my level back, this is so great since I stopped doing “that” which was probably the reason that was making me suck, but now it doesn’t matter because I’m getting to be the great goalkeeper I used to be before.
How wonderful everything is just going great for me except in my house which I have problems on because I’m always fighting with my dad, but still even know nobody is there for me to cheer me up or give me support I feel good because
I know now that I’m doing things the right way and everything is just going awesome.
As I was saying we won yesterday at Connecticut Sport Center against some blue team I don’t know, it was so awesome, I made some really great saves and everybody was happy with my job and those are just the things that make me feel so good.

Practice?

Yes, practice makes perfection they say, is also true, practice is a good way to put your skills on test, I had fun in the practice yesterday at Bradley School in Derby with the Ecuachamos.
It was a pretty bad day for soccer because of the cold and the rainy afternoon but we got there anyways so we played and i wanted to keep as goodest as I could and I did but i made few mistakes, well probably just one but it was HORRIBLE because is one of the worst goals they have made on my goal, and the author is one person you already know : Mr.Tyson which made the goal just hurt me more that it would be a normal goal.
I told Mr.Tyson before the game that he wasn't score on me but he did just because he got really lucky but still is a goal, as I said in a past blog, THE RAIN IS AN ENEMY!!!
The ball was slippery so did my gloves and my swetpants so when he kicked the ball nice, low and really easy for me, what happened is that the ball sliped trough my gloves and also the middle of my legs, HE SCORED IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LEGS!!!
How bad is that , is like the worst thing they could do to a goalkeeper :( , but im pretty sure it aint going to happen again.

Getting better???

This memorial weekend as every wekend, actually every day, was all soccer.
Last Friday we went to play at seaside park with many of my friends also at night I went to play indor at exit 31 with a Mexican team who called me, it was fun and actually I was getting back my level even know we lost I'm doing alot better also sinse I stopped doing the things i was doing which just messed up my self and made me keep bad .
Also last Sunday i played two games, one at seaside at 8:00 am, I didnt really wanted to play because i had a horrible "hangover" , but I didnt care and I went to play anyways.
The game was thugh even know my team sucks because must of them for some reason "suck" so they were many shots on my goal and many situations of danger in my area but I handled it very well, but they were a couple of shots that were real hard for me to keep so they scored.
What really hurt me besides the goals they scored on my that day is that we could of won, it was a pretty even game but destiny is just it, we lost 3-2.
The day wasnt over yet so I went to play at 3.00 with the "Ecuachamos" team in new heaven, that was well in other words a "easy game", it was horrible, starting with the other team which players doesnt even look like soccer players, they were old,fat and non soccer player looking and it happened they didnt get to my goal in the whole game , not even close, it was boring and we won 5 - 0 so it was a good day after all.

Wednesday lost?

Remember the Ecuadorian team of Tuesdays ? yeah, it came back but on Wednesdays, also a little bit improved, it was pretty fun but we lost, as crazy as that also sounds we were wining 3 to 0 it looked like a really easy game but they scored on me many times later on which made it a little frustraiting because i thought we were going to win but it was also alot dramatic, we were 3 to 3 and they scored, then we scored then they scored then we scored, suddendly without noticing the game was 5 to 5 with few minutes left on the clock.
Almost last minute of the game and it happened, one on one at the last minute of the game, oh preasure, what to do? what is he going to do? guess what???
I kept it but also guess what???, How funny, the shot was too hard that sliped my hands and went really nice and slow all the way to my goal but, it was also dramatic because i got up from the floor and dove again and hit the ball befor it hits the line, and guess what?
It went all the line as if the line was a road and then just turned to the left and got into the goal, all this happened in less than 10 seconds (lol) so we lost 6 to 5.

Tuesday Soccer Madness ?

Yeah, as crazy as it sounds once again soccer is crazy, las Tuesday I played since six pm. to one or two in the mornig, that is basicly way too much soccer, I went to practice at New Heaven with the team called "Ecuachamos" which is the team Mr.Tyson and I are in, we play alot, anywayz the point is that we started practice at 6 so he went to pick me up and we went to the place, none few minutes after the game started and i started sucking so it just wasn't going well at all.
Later on, I got home about eight thirty,I ate and the my fried David called me and he was like "we gotta go to play are you coming?" so I was like yeah sure so they picked me up and we went to Milford to some extrainge place but really nice so we started playing and I wasn't foing so well once again so we got out of the field a couple times because it was like who ever scores the goal the other team gets out something like that, so I was playing in two teams but I was sucking in the one of my friend (lol) while in the other team I was doing well because they didnt score on me all night, so we played untill like one or two in the morning, I was really tired after this "madness".

Too Much Soccer...

Ir there is anything wrong is probably saying that there is "Too much soccer" because soccer is fun and you can't get tired of it but actually this time is true because I'm TIRED, I've played alot alot of soccer the last few days and I just feel like I can't do it no more but I still do it, probably the worst part of this "crisis" I'm on is that I'm sucking as I said few blogs ago, all this is being bad because im not in my best level and they have score on me really easy goals on me so that is really frustraiting.
All this soccer problem is based on one thing which makes me suck and lots of problems that keeps my my head busy and out of the game so when they get near me for them is so easy to score, even know that all this soccer should help me to practice so i can get better and some how i know i will get to my level again, I'm the greatest young goalkeeper! so I'm sure I can do better that this.

Barcelona vs Deportivo Cuenca

Barcelona, my favorite team in the Ecuadorian league played las Sunday against Deportivo Cuenca in the City of Cuenca (Ecuador) as everything for me is not going well, Barcelona lost 1-0. Deportivo Cuenca started wining in the first few minutes of the secong half when Orrego after a corner kick shoted by Matamoros, Orrego already missed a goal in the first half by this time he didnt and it was the time for Deportivo Cuenca to get ahead in the scoring board.

Barcelona tryed hard to tie the game or win in but their tryes weren't enought to beat the "morlacos" of Cuenca, Barcelona lost and gets the eighth place in the table of the league, how bad that my favorite team is sucking, I want them to win so but, I want them to be champions.

Sucking?

Ok for the last 8 games I being having bad luck, in this case is not really bad luck but i don't know what's wrong with me I just keep making mistakes and errors mistakes and errors all the time and it just gets me really mad, I don't know if is my defence or what but the score "dumb" goals on me, ones that I could keep really easy but nah I don't and i hace being like that few games ago well really more than few.
Physically I feel great also really well at health but is just one thing that could get me like this and I know what it is but is not proper to write it in my blog, that is probably the only thing that is making me messed up so hard and make me suck, many people tell me to stop doing it and is really easy for me to leave it but I just don't, also I'm not trying hard enought when I try to leave it is a weird situation but ...yeah... so if i keep doing it I gonna suck for the rest of the seasons.

Soccer with friends!

How wonderfull, have fun with my friends playing soccer in our own team at Sea side Park on Sunday.Last sunday we played against a Mexican team called Aztecas at Seaside park with my friends, i had fun which is the most important thing but as most of the time we lost, for some reason i keep making big mistakes and lots of errors, everything is just not going well for me.
The score was 4 to 1, it was very thugh for us specially for me becacause litterally my defence SUCKED , so I had alot of work and I am not goint to lie so I gonna admit that I did made few mistakes and a real big one which caused a goal, being a goalkeeper is thughest than it looks but I enjoy playing it even more when I play with my friends.

Feeling bad?

Mmm this weekend wasn’t as good as I specked it to be , it was pretty bad in many ways so I shouldn’t be talking about it but yeah, also I didn’t play no games at all I’m busy like all the time but this weekend wasn’t good just things didn’t work out and I don’t feel good about it, besides mothers day which was also bad because my mother is in Ecuador so I couldn’t be with her, my family organized a party on my aunts house on Saturday, man! It was bad! All my aunts felt bad because they teenager’s children were acting bad so made them feel bad, may be the only good thing on my aunts house which is play volleyball but it didn’t go well because I didn’t enjoy it! You may ask why didn’t you enjoy it? The answer is because I didn’t want to play that much thinking I was going to play next day.
Now soccer time! Oh sunny Sunday perfect for a soccer game maybe two or three but guess what? I didn’t play at all!!! First of all the Mexican team didn’t call me and the kind of coach dude never picked up the phone which he always does but he didn’t this time, the Ecuadorian team sent me a text saying that we were going to play at new heaven at 12:00 pm and he sent me that text at 11:40 it didn’t give me time to get ready or go or anything and the other Mexican team didn’t say nothing either, I just stood home without doing nothing spending about 12 hours on YouTube and 4 playing the demo of the UFC game on my Xbox, what a horrible way to spend my weekend.

Warren Harding's soccer team?

The Warren Harding high school’s soccer team is not going very well, Mr. Tyson and I are trying to make the best team we can for this year, but as you know is not going well, we have try to call people to come to practice so we can be ready for next year but they just don’t show interest as they should for this important sport. I told Mr. Tyson that we should be ashamed because the girl’s soccer team even known they are not official are practicing and our team that is the main thing we’re just waiting for next year without doing nothing, well at least me and Mr. Tyson can’t complain because we are playing personally so we still in shape and getting better but we need to do something for the school team.
Also yesterday we were coming up with new ideas for the team as formation and tactics for the team, I came up with the best idea we could have thanks to I like soccer a lot and I besides playing it in real life I also play a lot of soccer on my Xbox so pro evolution soccer is the game if we want to have fun and create your own team in many ways so I came up with this formation of 3-1-2-1-3 which can take us to lead next year, he thought that was a great idea and we may use it next year, I have the feeling next year is going to be a great year for us.

Money?

Hmm money problems are really bad, I don’t know what to do, I want to play with the Ecuadorian team called “Ecuachamos” somewhere in New Heaven, and the actually want me to play with them but they need 48 dollars for I think the inscription of the team or something like that, the problem is: where am I going to get the money from???
Ok I’m 15 years old, I can’t get a job, the only way of getting money is asking my dad for it but I don’t have a good relationship with him so that’s a problem, I really want to play with them!!! They have a good and pretty decent team I think we could to something with it in the future.
Other problem is that I want to play with them but the games are on Sundays I’m already playing with a team called “New Mexico” at Success Par so it’s a problem if someday the make both games at the same time or around the same time, also my friend wants me to play with him but if I accept is not going to go well because they will be three games on the same day and I have school on Monday so that will be a problem because I’m usually tired already so more for me will be impossible, but the only thing I want is play soccer because I love to do it and I do it well, even know I being sucking in the last few games.

The enemies of a goalkeeper…

Yes as everyone goalkeepers also have enemies and things that can make the goalkeeper have a bad day on the field, in soccer is important to understand the facts that can take you to be the hero of your team. Soccer has advantages and things that are not good in this case; the first goalkeeper enemy (which I hate so much but I love it when I’m not playing) is THE RAIN.
The Rain in this case is the bad guy for goalkeepers, to start when the field is wet literally SUCKS! Because usually in the goal because of the goalies’ dives that little part of the field is 85% dirt, which with some nice and wet rain gets all muddy which is and enemy for me or any goalkeeper. Also when is raining the goalkeeper gloves get wet and so does the ball which drive the goalie to a bad act called “slip”.
Last Sunday I went to play at Success Park but… OH NO!!! It was raining, oh cruel rain! Which was going to drive me to one horrible game for me, first I kept getting stuck because of the mud so it was hard for me to dive, also when I did it was so slow that they scored anyways and I finish myself all muddy!
Now the slips it was a really easy shot, it went right to my hands but guess what??? It slipped but lucky my I had mi friend the pole that saved me from that one, it’s really hard to keep with rain so if you are goalie and its raining make sure to try not do so bad.

Friends on the field !

Friends on the field oh great idea! The goalkeeper has many friends on the field, some of them are really important for the result of a good game for the goalkeeper, first a goalkeeper has to be friends with the ball as every other player but the goalie has to be something like “best friends” in this case, if a goalkeeper is not friend with the ball everything is just going to go wrong because he’ll be scared to the ball and things like that.
Now the poles on the goal, this is another really important factor but as you know poles are not alive but the way this works is may be a little weird, when the goalkeeper is friend with his 3 poles for some reason it makes a magnetic field, as crazy as it sounds it works, when the forward of the other team shoots and the goalkeeper doesn’t keep it and you think is going to be goal… what’s going to happen??? Yeah!!!! It hits the pole!!! Oh miracle is just a great way to save the day.
The defenders, last of the most important of the goalie’s friends, the defenders have to be ready at all times so the strikers won’t be a problem to the goalkeeper, but that’s not the only thing , the goalkeeper has to have a connection with his defenders so they can understand him easier and everything the goalie means and tries to do, and most of the times save him from problems, in a good team goalie and defenders are the ones who have to make sure to keep the score on 0.

The Goalkeeper

To start this we going to put a definition of what goalkeeper is thanks to wikipedia : "In association football, each team's goalkeeper defends his team's goal and has special privileges within the game. The goalkeeper's main job is to stop any penetration of the ball into the goal.In many team sports, a goalkeeper (termed goaltender, netminder, goalie, or keeper in some sports) is a designated player that is charged with directly preventing the opposite team from scoring by defending the goal. Such positions exist in hurling, association football, Gaelic football, International Rules Football, handball, ice hockey, field hockey, netball, water polo, bandy, lacrosse, floorball and a number of other sports." this also is important, i found a line which explain something : "Usually special rules apply to the goalkeeper that do not apply to the other players. These rules are often instituted to protect the goalkeeper, being an obvious target for dangerous or even violent actions."
Violent? yes the goalkeeper is the one who has to defend the goal with everything he can and the strickers of the other team are going to start trying harder to score and the could do things that may hurt the goalie.
Also something that gets me really mad is when people say : "why didnt you keep that that was an easy shot", well i want to see them try, in the moment when he shoots you have to think about other factors or ideas the player may have as passing, crossing or which side is he going to choose when is 1 on 1.
But the thing that is really offensive and I dont like when people say : "Goalie si the easyest job on the field, all you do is stand there and wait for the ball to come.", Well people YOU ARE WRONG, that is not the only thing the goalkeeper does, he has to be ready at all times, the goalie has to have a different prospective of the game and see and visualise from the goal the way the other players are playing. The goalkeeper has to comand the defense and give advise and support to the strickers and midfielders and probably yell the whole game, also the goalkeeper has to have a fast reaction and change of decition.
I think the goalkeeper is the most important job in the game , phisically is not as rough as the other players like be running around the whole game but mentally is really tough and when the ball is near then is on and the phisical challenge starts because i have to know what to do , how to dive and how to stop the ball, if you dont do it right you may get hurt.
Personally i love to be a galkeeper and they say Im really good at it which makes me really proud.

Tuesday lost!

As every Tuesday we went to play on Connecticut Sports Center, to start my night the wrong way I went to the game an hour too early, good thing I had my friend Gregorio with me, at least that way we didn’t get bored so we were playing soccer with a volleyball in the volleyball court :D hehe that was pretty fun, so later on we got hungry so we went inside to eat some chicken tenders and vitamin water before the game started, after that great food we went to the “locker room” or actually the bathroom of the place and got ready.
Later on when the game was going to start the players of the other team also my friends were so sure they were going to win and they were like "oh ready to lose?" and i was "we may gonna lose but it aint going to be easy for you!".Well the game started and it didn't go so well, in like the first 5 minutes they scored the first goal it was the defence foult because they let him go by himself 1 on 1 with me and he scored but i almost kept it. My dad was mad at me he was like oh why cant you keep that that was an easy shot, I actually get really mad when they say that because being a goalkeeper is the hardest job in the game, so after that goal the game wasnt easy for them but they did won 6-1, i hate to lose against my own team but i enjoy playing against them.

I can’t decide!

Man this is just crazy as it sounds, I play a lot of soccer and many people like what I do and they feel safe when I’m playing with them but, personally I think this is way to much work for me… I cannot handle this much pain but the worst thing about this is the indecision, as in this case: I’m playing in this team on Sundays but this other team wants me, the first team kind of “sucks” but the other doesn’t but in the first team I get along really well with the coach and he offer me everything I wanted if I stay playing with them but in the other hand the second team is my friend’s so is a though decision for me.
Now besides all that I also play on Tuesdays as you know, I have two teams and yesterday they were playing against my other team so I had to choose a side, mmm… so I decide the team that needed me the most, but guess what??? Yeah we lost they beat us 6-1 (for more info. Read next blog), so I put way to much effort on it and now I’m so hurt as you cant imagine, my body hurts and as we play too late at night I don’t have enough sleep so for indecisions I’m having a though time playing soccer and deciding what is the right thing.

irresponsibility ???

Yeah irresponsibility … don’t you hate when I have an important game and the other team doesn’t show up? Well I do!
So both of my teams are out of the tournament, I don’t have anything to do no more besides just one game on Sundays, so I was really exited for this game and guess what? Oh surprise!!! The other team didn’t show up I felt so mad… also I have to go all the way from Saint Vicente’s hospital to Success Park to play , wake up on a Sunday at 8:00 am and go all the way there for nothing !!! yeah is ridiculous.
After all this problem that made me feel so bad and angry we ask the other team to play with us at least to do some exercise while we were there so the whole travel wouldn’t be in vane, also guess what? Yeah they said we will play! So they were getting ready and when they were ready they said: “we don’t want to play anymore”… oh cruel anger that is eating by body (again), so yeah I spent my whole beautiful Sunday morning in the soccer field doing nothing… how awesome is that ?

SPORTING 4-3 IDM

Sporting 4-3 Independiente Medellin
Goals: Alvaro Navarro 13, 90, Diego Vera 35, Diego De Souza 82 (Defensor Sporting); Luis Arias 19, Andres Ortiz 77, Diego Cabrera 90 (Independiente Medellin)
With the expecting of a win to advance and the visitors only requiring a point, the stage was set for a dramatic evening at the Centenario in Montevideo (Stadium). So it proved as the Group 4 rivals served up the game of the tournament so far, a seven-goal game that will define who stays in the competition.
Winning 3-2 with only two minutes remaining and a man to the good following Jair Benitez, Jorge da Silva's side seemed to have everything under control. They reckoned without Diego Cabrera, however, who headed home to level the game for Los DIM and give them the draw they had come for. But actually, the Uruguayans did not give up and in the fourth minute of stoppage time Navarro turned the ball into the back of the net to spark wild celebrations in the stands, scoring the winning goal for the Sporting.

We Lost... once again....

Yesterday, as every Tuesday we went to play on this place called “Connecticut Sport Center” somewhere in New Heaven or around there, to start I was late to the game because my dad was watching the soccer game of Liga de Quito vs. Palmeiras, then for my bad luck they were playing against the team I hate which is a “White Team” because of their uniforms not really because they are white, I got to the place and we were loosing 1 -0 it wasn’t that bad but I had to do something so I change my clothes and with 23 minutes left I started playing.
I started playing trying my best so I can show everyone that I’m the “best” in this case I and many people think I am a great goalkeeper so I had to keep getting attention and people to talk good things about me, literally I was doing everything I could to make my team win, as you know it didn’t go to well , they scored 1 goal on me in the first half and 3 others in the second, I put all my effort and everything but the team just didn’t help so I thought: “I’m going to score a goal” as I almost did in the last game playing as a goalkeeper and midfielder at the same time, so I tried that… it didn’t go well neither I just took the ball and started running trying to pass as many guys as I could and the third guy stopped me… and literally STOPPED me, he took the ball away from me and I went flying away, that hurt a lot he almost break my feet.
So I couldn’t do nothing for my team and we lost 5-2 … what I sad day for soccer, and I was also mad because I didn’t get to play the whole game :( .

Irony ???

Well this is kind of weird , I had a soccer game on Tuesday at 8:30, before the game I don’t know what happened but for some reason I was throwing rocks at something in my back yard, all of the sudden I heard a “click” in my shoulder , that was the most horrible pain ever. I decided to go to the game after all, to begin with we didn’t have enough people in our team so we started with some people that didn’t know how to play so well but anyways we played , had fun and won 6 – 1, literally I didn’t even move a muscle in the game , it was really boring and I didn’t got tired , so after the game was over this orange team came to me and said “hey goalie we don’t have enough people, want to play with us ?” so I said ok (I’m not tired , I’m young , I got to stay until 10:30 so why not ).
Then things change! I also literally play the most horrible game I have ever played ever! , I can’t believe I made so many mistakes it was just ridiculous, even coach Tyson didn’t do nothing in that game it was incredible, we lost 10 – 2, Oh irony! I’m one of the best goalkeepers in CT playing the worst game ever! , and the worst part of it is that I got injured, I hurt my wrist and my shoulder even worst than what it was, and I played another game after it.

We are out !!!

Yeah this Saturday at 3.00 pm we got out of the tournament, it wasn't an even game, the dominated in the first half by scoring 3 goals on me but everything got worst when I got injured, when I was going to catch the ball my head hit my shoulder, I was out … I felt like I was going to die, It was a horrible pain.
So I got out of the game and we didn’t have another goalkeeper so they putted my friend who doesn’t know nothing about it and they score 3 more goals on him in 4 minutes , the first half ended 6-1.
I got back for the second half with a horrible pain in my head but my team needed me so I started playing again, I was doing an excellent job and giving motivation to my teammates, everything was going great, we scored 6 goals and we got ahead by one, at the end a mistake from my defense (really bad mistake) caused the goal of the other team , so it ended up 7-7.
Our team wasn’t happy but conformed with the tie while the other team was frustrated and mad about it but we didn’t know why, when we were about to leave the referee said: “Stay nobody can leave until somebody wins to keep going in the tournament”.
Yeah we got on extra time, what a horrible way to loose, in extra time! We lost 8-7 they scored in the last minute, so we got out of the big tournament.

We Won !!!

Our Saturday team full of international teen soccers stars (like me) played against my Sunday team full of Old Mexican people in Stratford , this was a really interesting game even known we were betting the pizzas after the game.
Most of us give our best but i really didnt , i found it more like a game because they are all my friends and is pretty fun having all of them together playing so i just enjoyed it, even like that we actually won hehe the score was 11 - 9 , I being a goalkeeper almost score hehe it was pretty fun i just love soccer , the only bad thing is that i feel really hurt right now.

Mexico - Honduras

The mexican team won the last weekend against Costa Rica , yestarday playing against a lower team witch is Honduras didnt go to well , the "Tri" lost 3 - 1 in a game totally dominated by the Hondurian team , this game was played in Azteca stadium in Mexico.
This is the first victory in the qualifyers to South Africa , Honduras crashed the Mexican team with goals of Carlos Costly 15' , 78' ,Carlos Pavon 43 and the mexican goal by Nery Castillo 80'.
Mexico lost , the Hondurian team was better , stronger and they played very organized witch made the game way easier for them to beat a frustraited mexican team.

Ecuador vs Paraguay

Yesterday the Ecuadorian squad faced the Paraguayan team in the Atahualpa stadium , Ecuador needed to win this game if they wanted the chance to go to South Africa 2010 (the world cup).
Ecuador used the same team they used to play agaist Brazil except that the Ecuadorian DT Sito Vizuete put Paul Ambrossi on the team instead Walter Ayovi .
Ecuador started the game very well with much chances to score in the goal of a not too strong Paraguay , the Ecuadorian scorer Christian Benites had many many chances to score but he didnt have the skill enought to do it , the Ecuadorian DT had to change the tactics using Christian Noboa witch in his first minutes on the field score the first goal for whole contry witch was united to see this real important game.
Everything was going well for Ecuador untill in the last minute in the second half of the game when Salvador Cabanas (the Paraguayan stricker) scored with a header in a little mistake of the Ecuadorian defence leaving the game on a poor 1 - 1 leaving the Ecuadorian team out of the World Cup in South Africa.

Juventus 4 AS Roma 1

March 21, 2009, 5:32 PM

Juventus moved back to within four points of Serie A leaders Inter Milan with a comprehensive 4-1 victory away to Roma.
Vincenzo Iaquinta scored twice with Olof Mellberg and Pavel Nedved also on target for Claudio Ranieri's side, who showed no mercy for a depleted Roma side.
Roma's consolation came from Simone Loria, who responded to the first of Iaquinta's goals to bring the home side level three minutes into the second half, but there was no way back after Iaquinta grabbed his and Juve's second in the 55th minute.
League leaders Inter host Reggina tomorrow and can restore their seven-point lead at the top of the table with a win while Roma can slip five points behind fourth place if either Genoa or Fiorentina win.

My favorite team Barcelona S.C (Ecuador) won the game against Deportivo Cuenca on Sunday , Barcelona started loosing the game at the minute 36' of the first half when Rodrigo Texeira scored for Dep.Cuenca , but in the first 5 minutes of the second half the ecuadorian Narciso Mina put the game even , it was a real though game until the minute 56 which is when Barcelona's best scorer Pablo Palacios scored the second goal for the yellow team , ending the game with a score of 2 for Barcelona and 1 for Dep.Cuenca.
